Rally Software Expands Global Reach of its Agile ALM Solutions with UK Office

New London Office Enables Rally to Better Serve the Agile Development Needs of its Worldwide Customer Base

BOULDER, Colo. and LONDON, March 17, 2009 - Rally Software®, the leader in Agile application lifecycle management (ALM), today announced the first step in its global expansion with the opening of an office in the United Kingdom. Based in West London, Rally's new office will make its award-winning Agile solutions and training services even more accessible to UK and European customers.

Rally currently serves more than 50 countries with its on-demand Agile lifecycle management solutions. The UK office will bring Rally's products and services closer to European customers by offering localized account management services and sales support, public Agile training courses and on-site product implementation. In addition to its Boulder headquarters and the new UK office, Rally has opened a new office in Raleigh, NC, and has a field sales presence in Boston, Washington, D.C., New York and San Francisco.

"Rally's user base grew to 54,000 in 2008 and we saw an especially big uptick with our customers based in the UK and Europe," said Tim Miller, Rally CEO. "Our on-demand Agile solutions are available around the clock, and now we'll be able to better serve our UK and European-based customers and at the same time build on our strong growth in the market."

"Rally has been a core part of our Agile toolset," said Michael Barker, Enterprise Architect of UK-based Screwfix Direct (www.screwfix.com). "Agile has enabled us to successfully deliver enormous business value in challenging timescales without compromising on quality. Rally's software facilitated this, enabling us to work effectively with distributed teams."

Agile practices enable companies to deliver value faster with fewer resources by focusing on incremental delivery of features that have the highest business value. Agile increases team productivity and product quality by bringing collaboration to the front of the development process and increasing visibility. A recent study conducted by QSM Associates showed that Agile teams using Rally are 50% faster to market and 25% more productive as compared to plan-based or waterfall projects.

"Use of Rally has greatly assisted in the consistency of our Agile adoption, allowing Scrum teams to collaborate more effectively across geographic locations and time zones and making key information more visible," said Chris Jewell, Head of Programmer Management Office of Newbury-based Micro Focus Ltd. "The flexibility of the Rally tool has been impressive and this has been further enhanced by Rally's team of enthusiastic and supportive Agile experts. We expect to build on this relationship further as we progress through 2009 and into the future."

In addition to growing its UK and European customer base, Rally is also hiring to fill its London-based team. Known for its collaborative culture that encourages work-life balance and community involvement, Rally will work hard to mirror that environment at its London location. The Rally office is located in the highly regarded Chiswick Park, a major office development in West London that was designed to reflect the simple notion of enjoying work.
