Talking of Kennedy&#039;s excellent book, how appropriate that is was given to me by a Rally employee! Like you, I highly recommend the book.

I see a huge difference.  Lean product development is about a design process not a production process.  This may seem like splitting hairs to some folks, but it seems very core to me.  I worked in lean production process back in the 90&#039;s and Lean product development is not about queuing and exception process handling, it is about amplifying learning first.  Do you see it that way?  Mary and Tom P had me dig into Michael Kennedy&#039;s books and they really help set my mental models.  Have you read them?</description>
