When the S&P 500 index was created in 1957, the average expected lifespan of a company on the index was 61 years. What used to be a health index for stable companies is now a thermometer for the fluctuating temperatures of disruptive markets.

Tyler Dillerstone of HomeAway was like many of us and used large sticky notes in his team area to make a clear visualization of stories. As I am sure most of you know by now, Kanban teams like to make as many things as clear and obvious as possible and their work on the Kanban board is never the least of these. Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m a regular poster over at the Rally Engineering Blog. Over there, it’s well known that I’m a keyboard fanatic. Recently, I even hinted about a snazzy feature I was implementing during hackathon.Ever since I started using Rally, the fact that I needed to grab the mouse to do anything drove me nuts. I love the keyboard...

Many of our customers are in some stage of transition to an agile approach, and for large companies, a hybrid process is the norm, with some teams/projects/programs using an agile approach and others using a more traditional, waterfall-based approach. As the agile teams adopt Rally, it’s easy to see their progress through the stories,...

I have been influenced by Hawken, Senge, Anderson, Benioff, and Branson as my heroes in business, and I have come to believe that business has the largest role to play in addressing the world’s toughest problems, and can and must become the largest force of good on the planet.  As I started working on Rally these beliefs...
