BOULDER, Colo., May 11, 2005 - Rally Software Development, a provider of on-demand software development management solutions for Agile teams, today announced the addition of Luke Hohmann to its technical advisory board. An internationally recognized software product expert, Hohmann brings to Rally more than 20 years of hands-on experience in leading all aspects of successful software product development groups, including engineering and development, product management, professional services, business development, sales support and customer care.
Hohmann is the founder of Enthiosys, a management consulting firm that helps software companies deliver greater value to customers through a deep understanding of their customers' unique needs. Enthiosys has created a set of interactive, customer-focused exercises called Innovation GamesSM that provide unprecedented visibility into customer requirements. Prior to founding Enthiosys, he was vice president of U.S. business development for Aladdin Knowledge Systems (NASDAQ: ALDN, formerly Preview Systems). He also served as vice president of engineering and product development at Aurigin Systems, Inc.; education technical director at ObjectSpace, Inc.; and vice president of systems engineering for EDS Fleet Services.
A faculty member of the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, Hohmann also is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences on topics ranging from software development processes to strategic product management. In addition, he is the author of two books -"Journey of the Software Professional: The Sociology of Computer Programming" and "Beyond Software Architecture: Creating and Sustaining Winning Solutions"- as well as numerous articles on software development. Luke's forthcoming book is Innovation Games: Creating Breakthrough Products and Services Through Customer Understanding.
