Rally and Valtech Partner to Accelerate Success of Agile Adoption for Global Enterprises

Valtech also commits to internal adoption of Rally's leading Agile life cycle management products

BOULDER, Colo., and PARIS, France, Feb. 13, 2007 - Rally Software Development Corp., the leading on-demand provider of Agile software life cycle management solutions, and Valtech, a global consulting company specializing in Agile transformation and product development outsourcing, today announced their worldwide partnership. Rally and Valtech will provide a combination of Agile life cycle management products and transformational services to meet the rapidly growing needs of global enterprises and widely distributed teams.

Together, their offerings comprise the "Agile Rollout for the Enterprise," which is a combination of strategy, training, and coaching services, along with the specific tooling required to help the largest organizations incrementally and successfully adopt Agile methods. Built from 14 years of proven success, Valtech's unique Agile adoption approach includes transformational services that accelerate the performance of entire product lines by re-skilling teams to leverage Agile disciplines. Rally adds to the rollout process its award-winning Agile life cycle management products and world-renowned Agile coaching services.

Rally and Valtech forge this partnership on the successes already established with joint customers including BMC Software, ChannelAdvisor, Darty, HP Peregrine and The Trizetto Group.

"Rally has been key in helping us transition to Agile development, and their expertise in this area was evident the first time I talked to someone there," said Megan Sumrell, director of quality assurance for ChannelAdvisor. "We plan on continuing to engage Rally and Valtech's services to ensure a successful implementation of Agile practices throughout our development organization."

As part of the agreement, Valtech is deploying Rally's software life cycle management tools to all of its 800 consultants across the US, Europe and Asia. In addition, Valtech will integrate the Rally product into its project outsourcing services in its effort to reduce the development costs so often incurred with globally distributed teams.

"Rally is a clear leader among Agile life cycle management products. Rally directly tackles the challenges enterprises face in streamlining their product development practices and sharply reduces the obstacles so typical of distributed product teams," states Jack Carter, director of partner channels for Valtech. "With this partnership, Valtech has extended its Agile Partner Network to bring to global enterprises the benefits that Agile development has proven to be successful, and Rally's product will help make that happen."

"A blend of expert services and appropriate tooling is the best recipe for achieving Agile success," said Richard Leavitt, vice president of partners and alliances for Rally. "Valtech has an incredibly deep bench of talented Agile coaches and consultants with a long track record of customer success. Together, we can be the trusted Agile partner companies seek out to dramatically improve the results of their custom development projects."
