Rally's integration hub delivers enterprise-ready connectors with traditional ALM products to drive incremental and successful Agile adoption
BOULDER, Colo., March 5, 2008 - Rally Software Development Corp.®, the #1 partner for Agile success through its family of products, coaching and community support, today announced the latest release of its solutions for complete Agile software life cycle management. Enhancements were made to Rally's products, online training center and Web 2.0 portal, which together enable customers to successfully adopt Agile practices from product idea to delivery. In addition, new enterprise-ready integrations with products from traditional application lifecycle management (ALM) vendors, including IBM®, Microsoft® and HP®, help drive incremental and successful Agile adoption for organizations of all sizes.
New integration connectors in the 2008.1 release include IBM Rational® ClearQuest®, Microsoft Visual Studio® Team System, and Seapine TestTrackPro. These enterprise-ready integrations, along with the Rally Connector for HP Quality Center, are backed by Rally's installation and maintenance, premium customer support and, when possible, vendor certification. By partnering with other ALM solution providers for interoperability and certification, Rally takes the burden away from its customers to deploy, maintain and support each integration and provides a seamless, hassle-free connection with Rally's core solution.

Rally is an IBM Rational Business Partner in the 'Ready for Rational' program for its seamless integration with IBM Rational ClearQuest for end-to-end quality management. The company is a member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner Program (VSIP) for its connector with Visual Studio Team System, which provides a rich integration into a developer's desktop. For its integration with HP Quality Center, Rally is a member of the Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP) to ensure predictable installations and seamless interoperability.
Other enhancements to Rally's end-to-end solutions for Agile development are:
- Rally Release 2008.1 will include intuitive drag-and-drop ranking, task reordering, defect suite roll-up status, enhanced release burndown charts, expanded revision history, acceptance test authoring and tracking, and international web caches to further enhance performance and server response times.
- Agile University, an online center for public Agile training courses, now has a new administrative system for Agile trainers. New administrative functions allow a worldwide network of trainers to post and manage courses while taking advantage of full course coordination services.
- Agile Commons, a rapidly growing Web 2.0 community for Agile practitioners, includes feature requests that are prioritized and voted on by customers to drive collaboration, responsiveness and innovation. Enhancements to the Agile Commons platform include allowing read-only status on feature requests, sorting by category and allowing members to change their votes.
Pricing and Availability
Release 2008.1 features and integrations are available March 10 in Rally's Agile lifecycle management products, including Rally Enterprise Edition beginning at $35/user/month and Rally Community Edition, which is free for up to 10 users. Agile University trainer administration is available now. Training partners can sign up with Agile University through two paid service levels, and students register on a per-course basis. Enhancements to the Agile Commons platform are available March 13, and membership is free for all Rally customers.
