Rally Software Extends Nationwide Agile Success Tour with Events in Bay Area, Atlanta and Washington, D.C.

Attendees discuss real-life Agile implementation stories with companies like AutoVin, CDC Software, Kaiser Permanente, NEOGOV, Netcordia, PayPal, Roche, Smarthinking, Thermo Fisher Scientific, The U.S. Census Bureau and VMware

BOULDER, Colo., May 26, 2009 - Rally Software Development Corp.®, the leader in Agile application lifecycle management (ALM), today announced three new dates for its Agile Success Tour, a series of interactive half-day seminars for software and IT leaders who are adopting or considering adopting Agile development practices. The free seminars will be held in Santa Clara, Calif. on June 4, Atlanta on June 25 and Washington, D.C. on July 23.

The Agile Success Tour explores how development organizations can adopt Agile and Lean practices to grow market share in today's economy by speeding time-to-market of more meaningful and valuable applications while dramatically cutting development costs and overhead. Rally's Agile Success tour kicked off in March with events in Denver, Los Angeles and New York. Software and IT executives from companies like AOL, Avaya, Condé Nast Digital, Gorilla Nation, NBC Universal and Qualcomm shared their own Agile adoption experiences with hundreds of attendees and discussed best practices, lessons learned and roadblocks to Agile adoption.

"I would totally recommend this event to people who are moving from another methodology to Agile," said Peggy Reed, Director of Contact Center Reporting at Avaya, Inc. "There are moments of truth when you move to Agile that are really tough for organizations. Having some help in a community that shares those moments of truth and change makes it understandable. You can see your progress if you share your journey with other people."

Attendees of the Agile Success Tour will:

  • Hear real-life Agile implementation stories from AutoVin, CDC Software, Kaiser Permanente, NEOGOV, Netcordia, PayPal, Roche, Smarthinking, Thermo Fisher Scientific, The U.S. Census Bureau and VMware.
  • Find out what worked, what didn't, and the lessons learned from peers and other Agile experts.
  • Get questions answered during an interactive Q&A session and pertinent breakout sessions.
  • See how every aspect of the development organization can benefit from adopting Agile practices.
  • Network with other technology leaders searching to implement development best practices.
  • Create a real plan for Agile adoption at their organization.

Each event includes an executive roundtable discussion made up of Agile industry leaders and users, an open space breakout session where attendees can guide the conversation, and an in-depth review of how Agile practices can measurably cut costs using data from a report completed by QSM Associates.
