How To File a Feature Request
Ever wanted Rally to work just a little bit differently? Have a great idea for functionality that currently doesn't exist in the tool? We want to hear about it! Our feature request process allows Rally users to propose and vote up new features, which our Product Owners use to groom our development backlog.
Submitting your request for a new feature involves two steps:
Public Feature Request
The most important thing you can do for a proposed feature is make it public. If you do not have time to submit your request formally (see below), it is more beneficial to make sure it is submitted publicly. This is done via our feedback site, Rally Ideas. You will need either an on-premise, community, trial, or paid subscription with Rally to log into the site. Your username and password with Rally will grant access.
Prior to posting your idea on Rally Ideas, please search the site first for a duplicate. If one exists, vote it up, and encourage your other users to do so.
Formal Feature Request
Whenever you open a support case, our team will automatically file any feature requests within with our Product Owner team. The request is reviewed, merged with duplicates, and placed on our backlog. If you would like to formally submit your request, please open a new support case.
