Program Dashboard
The Program Dashboard app provides an executive report of the following:
- Status of scheduled work, test cases and defects for the program
- Visual indicator of program health
- A burndown chart to see if the team is on track
The top-level row shows a roll-up for the currently selected program (all project/release pairs) and the second level row(s) display each project/release pair(s).
Pie charts
Three pie charts are displayed in the dashboard:
- The Scheduled Work pie chart displays the count of user stories, defects, and defect suites in each Schedule State.
- The Test Cases pie chart displays the total last verdict count of test cases that are associated with user stories scheduled in the program.
- The Defects pie chart displays a breakdown of defects scheduled or linked to user stories that are scheduled in the program by the State field.
You may hover over slices in the pie charts to see a count. Clicking on a slice will persistently display the count, so that you may perform a comparison between the three charts.
Program health
The Program/Release Health sections compute the health of the releases in each project based on the percentage of work accepted and the number of days completed in the release.- Good displays when the percentage is greater than or equal to 90.
- At Risk displays when the percentage is greater than or equal to 70 and less than 90.
- Critical displays when the percentage less than 70.
This calculation is one metric to determine release health but refer to other resources to determine if revising the release plan is appropriate. If no data is returned from the Work Products by Schedule State pie chart , then the Program/Release Health indicator will not display, as the calculation depends on this data.
Burndown
An advanced burndown chart displays next to the pie charts. Bars are color-coded according to schedule state, and an ideal burndown trend line is provided. Hover over a bar to see details on the date and hours or points displayed.
Use the dashboard
Use the Program drop-down menu to select past programs to display in the dashboard.
Click the header area directly above the charts to display a key for color-coding in the pie charts:
