Agile Team Tune Up
Inspecting and Adapting your Agile Implementation
Overview
This 2 day workshop helps an Agile team (the delivery team, scrum master and product owner) as well as stakeholders to inspect their process, to design a lasting continuous improvement framework, and to learn more on topics that challenge them.
The two days are delivered as a 1 day process retrospective followed by a 1 day made-to-measure training on desired topics. Additional follow-on coaching and training may also be arranged as desired.
Problem
After completing several iterations, an Agile team will have adopted some practices successfully, some partially, and will still be challenged by others. This intermediate state requires a focused inspect and adapt process and many teams may struggle with how to improve and what to focus on next.
Solution
Through a facilitated process inspection combined with specific training and coaching sessions, a Rally Agile coach will help the team overcome plateaus in productivity, delivery, and quality of products delivered.

Workshop Objectives
Day 1: Process retrospective
- Introductions, agenda, ground rules
- Data collection, different techniques are possible:
- Retrospective
- Rally agility assessment tool or Nokia test
- Five levels of planning structure
- Discussion and prioritization of the collected issues
- Solution design for the high priority issues
- Closure
Day 2: Topic training
Any topic from the Agile environment can be addressed here; examples are working with story-points, writing user stories, grooming the backlog and distributed team practices.
The actual agenda for the two days will be designed for each unique customer, allowing the option to merge the topic work into the first day and to address large teams (teams of teams).

Additional considerations:
- Onsite only
- Requires the whole team in the room
- Requires a Scrum implementation which has been running for at least 6 months
- Distributed teams are possible. Ideally, local retrospectives are connected to remote teams via video conference to facilitate a joint review and merger of the issues.
