Expert Coaching for Creating the Agile Organization

Maybe you have started an Agile pilot in your organization, or perhaps you want to expand Agile to multiple, geographically dispersed teams. Suppose it’s time to rev up your engineering practices to increase product quality. Whatever the case, real-time visibility into your teams, projects, programs and process is imperative to your company’s success.

From small pilot projects to distributed, multi-team programs, Rally’s family of award-winning, on-demand software life cycle management solutions give teams the visibility and collaboration needed to formalize and scale Agile development practices to deliver high-value software in rapid iterations. Let Rally get you up and running quickly with our two-day Rally Product Implementation Workshop.

Approach

At the conclusion of your two-day Rally Product Implementation Workshop, you will have sufficient process and product information to track Agile projects in Rally, as well as understand the current configuration of Rally and how that affects and allows for future agility of the organization. Through a combination of workshops and training, your Rally coach will help you hit the ground running and develop plan to meet your goals down the road.

Workshop Details

Day One

Day one looks at many aspects of your development organization – from the tools you use to the way your projects and programs are structured to the way you organize teams. Together, you and your Rally coach review your current Agile state and where you’d like to be in the future. Finally, you’ll discuss the ideal Rally configuration for you based on information about your team and organization.

Organizational Workshop (2 hours): To adapt, you must first inspect. This workshop discusses your people, products and processes to understand your company’s software development lifecycle.

Day Two

The goal for day two is to implement Rally for your team. By entering real data for a real project, the team has the foundation to leverage for future iterations, releases and projects. The team will also understand the short and long-term implications of the data structure and tracking capabilities within the framework of your goals as an Agile organization.

Rally Implementation Workshop (6 hours): Your Rally coach will help you create an example of your software development lifecycle with Rally. The example is a “spike” through Rally – features, stories, tasks, test cases and defects. The discussion includes topics to help you plan and track your project.

  • Iteration planning and tracking
  • Team communication and signaling
