Rally Release 2010.1
Rally Release 2010.1 expands on existing and recently released features, including:
- Role-based Dashboard: Multiple dashboards per user, configurable dashboard columns and three new panels - the My Availability, My Notifications and Source Code Check-in panels
- Reporting & Analytics: Story Burnup report with trend line, addition of the package field, all defect fields and work item name in the Report Designer, and two new mashups: the Source Code Check-in and Print Story Card mashups
- Rally Time Tracker: now accessible from the Eclipse IDE, individual workspaces can be enabled and capitalization reports can use task custom fields
- Rally Quality Manager: rapid insertion of multiple test cases within test sets

For Rally Enterprise & Community customers
Dashboard Enhancements:
- Multiple Dashboard per User
For executives, additional dashboard tabs to allow quickly flipping through several different pre-configured dashboard tabs each morning. - Configurable dashboard columns
For dashboard users, the option to select the number and size of dashboard columns to best display the data they care about. -
My Availability Panel
For dashboard users, the My Availability panel provides visibility into their current workload. -
My Notifications Panel
For dashboard users, the My Notifications panel displays notifications based on their profile notification rules. -
Source Code Check-in Panel
For customers who use one of the Rally source code management connectors (Perforce, Subversion, Git, Microsoft Team Foundation Server), view on their dashboard a list of all code check-ins within a Rally project.
Reporting Enhancements:
- Story Burnup with Trend Line
For customers using epic stories to track Projects, Features, or Initiatives, the report shows the delivery progress and a forecasted completion date at the intersection of a scope line and a trend line. - Source Code Check-in Mashup
For customers who use one of the Rally source code management connectors (Perforce, Subversion, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server), view a list of all code check-ins within a Rally project. - Print Story Card Mashup
For customers who prefer to release plan or track status with physical cards, the Print Story Card Mashup prints Rally stories in a printer-friendly format.
For Rally Enterprise Customers
Enhanced Report Designer
The Report Designer includes additional options to group and filter data by package or by any defect fields. It also support grouping by work item name to display the story, defect and test case names in custom reports.
For Rally Time Tracker Customers
- Workspace enablement
For customers who want to only enable time tracking for some parts of their business, and customers would want to experiment with a subset of their users, the Rally workspace administrator has the ability to enable the module for a subset of their workspaces, using the new 'Enable Time Tracker" workspace setting in the workspace editor. - Task Capitalization reports
For customers tracking capitalization accounting rules at the task level, capitalization reports can by filter and group by task custom fields. - Eclipse IDE access
For Eclipse developers, the Rally Connector for Eclipse allows daily hours to be captured from the Eclipse IDE and stored in Rally Time Tracker for reporting. - Time Spent on work items
Leveraging the Report Designer new option to group by work item name, timesheet reports can show hours spent on stories and defects.
For Rally Quality Manager Customers
Rapid insertion of multiple test cases within test sets
For testers, it is now easier to create test sets by selecting many test cases at once.

Git Connector Beta
The Rally Connector for Git creates a traceable link between source code check-ins and Rally artifacts. The traceability relationship improves development efficiency by providing better context to the development staff. Additionally, Rally artifact states can be updated via the connectors making it even easier for developers to keep Rally information up to date.
