Rally Release 2009.3

Rally Release 2009.3 provides additional reports, charts and mashup enhancements to help managers track the progress of individual features, projects or products. For all team members, tagging adds a new way to logically group and filter different types of work. Our new Quality Center mashup makes it easy and efficient for agile teams to share progress on defects and tests with the entire organization.

Tagging of Work Items
Tagging provides all team members the ability to logically group and filter user stories, defects, defect suites, test cases and tasks.

Coming Soon… Story Burndown
The Story Burndown chart displays task “To Do” burndown and story acceptance burnup for an epic story over a user-defined time period. Overall progress of the epic also includes the status of associated children stories, thus enabling managers to assess the forward movement of the features, projects and products represented by the epic.

Coming Soon… Story Cumulative Flow Diagram
The Story Cumulative Flow diagram shows the state evolution of children stories associated with an epic story over a user-defined time period. Managers may use this diagram to gain insight about progress for the features, projects and products represented by the epic.

Backlog Page Open Beta
Rally is conducting an Open Beta of changes to the Backlog Page that offer numerous improvements over our current Backlog page. You may toggle back and forth between the original and Beta versions of the Backlog page and you may also provide feedback by clicking links on the page. The evolution of this new page framework will eventually be used to replace all pages in Rally.

New Mashups

• Quality Center Mashup

The Quality Center mashup enables agile teams to gain visibility into Quality Center tests and defects linked to stories scheduled in Rally without creating duplication of artifacts across the two systems. The simple setup allows teams to deploy the mashup quickly across the entire organization.
