Rally Enterprise customers
Cross workspace release dashboard (mashup)
The cross workspace release dashboard gives executives and development leaders a high-level status of all user stories across Rally workspaces. Workspaces are separate tracking repositories that give large enterprises or contracted teams a way to manage distinct business units or customer initiatives.
Advanced burndown chart (mashup)
Gain even better predictability into your project completion with this burndown chart that tracks progress against your project requirements. The enhanced burndown chart displays added scope and trend lines to accurately forecast the release completion date.
Project dashboard (mashup)
The project dashboard mashup gives development leaders a concise visual status of all supporting work products, displaying the percentage complete of stories, defects, and test cases.
Agile Earned Value Measurement (mashup)
Help further Agile adoption in your organization by providing program managers less familiar with Agile a way to assess the status of Agile projects with Earned Value Measurement (EVM).
Rally Connector for Eclipse: Project dashboard
Developers that update their work in the Eclipse IDE can now track their team’s progress with a new dashboard in Eclipse that closely matches Rally dashboards. The project dashboard displays the current status of Rally user stories, tasks and defects.
Enhancements to Rally’s programmable Internet platform
Rally customers can create richer reports, charts, views and mashups with enhancements to the Rally platform. With these enhancements, you gain access to all of your Rally project data currently included in the Web Services REST and JSON API and additional documentation guides to support your development.
Rally Enterprise & Community customers
New interface features
Rally users get started quickly and stay productive with new interface features.
- Search is enhanced to return work objects located in any project to which the user has editor or viewer permissions.
- Rally’s Help & Training is based on an enterprise wiki, making training resources more relevant.
- If the user does not make changes when editing a work product, Rally will not ask them to 'OK' or 'Cancel' the changes.
Support for Safari web browser
Rally now supports the Safari web browser version 3.1 and higher.
Rally Quality Manager customers
Scheduled regression sets: Enhancements
With the enhancements in Release 2008.6, it is easier to manage your test sets to schedule regression or configuration testing in iterations and releases. With enhanced test sets you can:
- Configure test sets using Rally’s Web Services API
- See each test set and its schedule when you drill down into the details of each test case
- Add test cases from another project in your test set, allowing concurrent projects to use the same test cases
- Remove test cases from a test set
- Move test cases when user stories are moved
Rally Integration Hub customers
Rally Connector for ClearQuest: Beta version
Bi-directional updates between defects in Rational ClearQuest and Rally provide visibility into the lifecycle of development and quality. Team members only need to update defects once, saving time and unnecessary duplication.
Rally Connector for Team Build: General availability
Rally deepens its integration with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System by posting build results from Team Build on Rally dashboards. Team members can create a 'build failed' defect to track the work required to fix the build.
Rally Connector for OpenLDAP
Rally customers that use OpenLDAP for their user management can now easily create and disable Rally users from their OpenLDAP directories. Rally can also email Rally administrators when a Rally user is created or updated.
Rally Connector for Active Directory: General availability
Rally can now email administrators when a Rally user is created or updated in their Windows Server Active Directory user management system.
Rally Support Manager customers
Rally Support Manager: Populate defect custom fields from support cases
With Rally Support Manager's support for defect custom fields, your support team can communicate more detailed information about a defect to their development team, and your support teams can comply with your organization's preferred defect submission process. In addition to populating standard defect fields, now support case information stored in Salesforce can be added to custom defect fields in Rally. As a result, development can view more case information and required custom fields can be filled upon submission of customer-reported defects.
Rally Support Manager: Populate story fields from support cases
Customers using the "Allow Requirements" setup option to create Rally user stories directly from Salesforce support cases have now more control over the value of user story fields when creating a user story from Salesforce.
Customer Testimonial:
Rally continues to prove that they support their customers with a passion rarely seen by other companies."
