Join us at Denver Startup Week, a series of events from October 22 to 26, showcasing Denver’s entrepreneurial community in tech, design, business, and social entrepreneurship. There are many opportunities to connect with Rally from formal speaking events to breakfast to hackathons to beer!
Rally for Impact is a sponsor of this amazing event, which has a dedicated track for social entrepreneurship. Be sure to check out the new Agile Zen Beta, which is free for non-profits, citizen engineers, students, B-Corp Members, Unreasonable Fellows, and open source contributors.
Note that one of the most exciting things happening is the launch of Colorado Entrepreneurial by Nature. Check out this blog by Seth Levine to learn more about how you can join and spread the word about the fertile ground that is the Colorado startup community.
See below for an overview of Rally’s specific involvement at these events. Visit the event website for more details, locations, and a full conference schedule.
Startup Communities Breakfast: Join Entrepreneurs’ Foundation of Colorado (EFCO) and Startup Colorado at the Startups & Communities Breakfast from 8-10 a.m. to hear from Rally Software’s Founder, Ryan Martens, Bryan Leach, Founder and CEO of Ibotta, Catharine Merigold of Vista Ventures, and other leaders from the Front Range entrepreneurial community to hear a history of entrepreneurship in Denver and how and why you should get involved in your local startup community.
JOB FAIR: Tuesday evening Rally is part of the Job Fair at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Look for our paired-programming station with our engineers working with participants to create Rally apps.
WILL CODE FOR BEER: Some might argue that the Colorado Entrepreneurial community is fueled by beer. At the Job Fair, stop by the Rally booth Tuesday evening for a beer and pair-program with one of our developers. During the coding session, log in to your Twitter account and watch our Kegbot auto-tweet. Visit this site to learn more about Kegbot!
Wednesday morning from 10 am to Noon, Rally founder Ryan Martens and Rally CTO Zach Nies are delivering a session entitled, “Think Like an Agilist”, about applying Lean Startup principles to high-growth businesses.
On Wednesday night, we’re part of the Denver Startup Crawl, where people can visit our new Rally Denver Office and enjoy a beverage, have a snack and be wowed by our general awesomeness.
Thursday we’re exhibiting at the DEMOgala, where hi-tech is front and foremost with demos, keynotes and noteworthy technology companies showing their wares.
Thursday at 1:00 pm, Ryan and Zach return to the stage with “Business Model Canvas,” covering how to use a canvas to hone ideas and analyze a business without the overhead of a business plan.
Finally, on Friday at Galvanize from 1:30 – 3:30, see Rachel Weston and Todd Sheridan conduct an Intro to Kanban and Agile Zen workshop using Agile Zen as a lead-in for the three-month “build a healthcare app” volunteer hackathon.
Whew! It is going to be a fun and busy week. See you there!
