How Is Agile Being Handled in DoD?

Who is doing agile?

Why are they doing it?

How are they doing it?

Since 2010 we have seen a surge in the use of agile methods across the Department.  The revision being drafted for DoDI 5000 specifically addresses incremental development, DoD's term for iterative agile methods.   But will it be truly agile?  How can we forge a consistent approach to the use of agile methods in DoD software acquisition?

The purpose of this workshop is to bring some clarity to the areas of contracting (agile CDRLS, for example), program oversight, product ownership, requirements prioritization (must have, should have, could have), cost control and affordability, workforce.

Attendees will take away information that they can apply directly to their organization, and will have the opportunity to influence how policy and standards get shaped for Agile in Defense.
